By now most of our followers and road race fans will have heard of the abrupt end to John Mc Guiness's campaign at this years , Vauxhall North West 200 road race meeting.
As a consequence John will unfortunately not be able to appear at this years event in Aberdare park . We are all saddened by yesterday's news of our national treasures injuries , and our thoughts for a speedy recovery are with the king of the mountain, and indeed his family .
As part of our tribute weekend to this iconic figure we are pleased to be able to announce that Peter Hickman and Steve Plater will be with us to greet the many crowds who follow this unique event , and we hope to announce two more road race stars very soon .
Again please join us in wishing John a very speedy recovery .

We have great news regarding John Mc Guiness. Despite the injuries John suffered at the North West 200, John has said that he will be at the Park on the Saturday and Sunday. John will meet and greet the public as much as possible on the two days. Because of John’s injuries we cannot guarantee he will be at the Park all day, both days.
We are extremely grateful to John for agreeing to come at all. John loved his visit to the park last year to meet all of you who came to the meeting and was so disappointed to think he couldn’t come again this year he is going to pull out all the stops to be with us as much as he possibly can.
